Family Help Line - Parent Trust for Washington Children

A statewide toll-free help line available to parents, caregivers, and anyone who has questions about a child in their community. The Family Help Line can help you find resources, parenting classes, and community events, and can provide you with someone to talk to and problem solve with.

Coming Out Support Hotline - LGBT National Help Center

A non-profit hotline staffed with volunteers who all identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Volunteers can help you when you are struggling with coming out to yourself, coming out to friends & family, facing fear and isolation, or searching for local resources.

Prevention Coalitions - Whatcom County Health and Community Services

Whatcom County Health and Community Services partners with community organizations and all seven Whatcom County school districts to coordinate and support prevention coalitions and community groups. Volunteer Ally Program - Road2Home

Volunteers are paired with people experiencing homelessness to support them on their journey. Volunteer allies are there to listen, provide companionship, connect clients with resources, and help them realize their goals. Being an ally requires a 6-month commitment where volunteer allies and participants meet in-person twice per month and are available\nfor phone calls and check-in’s in between.

Peer Pathfinder Program - Lifeline Connections

Certified Peer Specialists provide recovery support to adults who have an opiate and/or stimulant use disorder and experience or are at risk of homelessness. Peer specialists have lived experience of substance use and mental health recovery and are trained to provide support services.

Alateen - Washington Area Al-Anon Family Group

A part of the Al-Anon Family Groups’ fellowship for younger members whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. At Alateen Meetings, younger members meet other Alateens with similar situations. Alateen is not a religious program and there are no fees or dues to belong to it. Peer Support - The EMBERcenter

One-on-one parenting support with a peer provider of your choice. Available for mothers during pregnancy through the first three years after birth. Schedule sessions via text, phone, or video chat as often as you want. Each session is about 30 minutes. Peer support providers are available in English and Spanish.

FASt Friends - FASD Focus NW

A Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) family and community peer support network. Support groups are open to families or caregivers to individuals who have been diagnosed with or are suspected of being impacted by FASDs as well as to adults impacted by FASDs. Groups are respectful of and open to birth mothers.

Connecting the Expecting Program - Program for Early Parent Support

Program will focus on how adding a baby to the family will affect one's relationships, family life, and regular obligations. It also offers a chance to connect and create community with other families expecting a baby. Designed for families in their third trimester of pregnancy, or who are planning to adopt a baby. It is recommended for families to register for a group that best aligns with their baby's due date.
