Defends the rights of people who have a fear of persecution in their home country and help them gain safety through asylum. Also assists 'pro se' applicants with navigating the asylum application process, and works with outside agencies, communities, and organizations to promote the rights and dignity of and offer support services to persons fleeing persecution in their home countries.

A local office of World Relief, a global faith-based humanitarian organization focused on helping refugees and immigrants in vulnerable situations rebuild their lives in a new country. Services include refugee resettlement, aid for Humanitarian Parolees, immigration legal services, English and cultural orientation classes, and family programs. Helps eligible refugees and other humanitarian immigrants by providing cash assistance for up to eight months from their arrival date in the United States (or from the date of their immigration status for asylees or victims of trafficking). RCA is for eligible people who do not have minor children.
