Senior Community Service Employment Program - AARP Foundation's Kent Office

Provides both community service and work-based training to eligible older workers. Job seekers are placed in a wide variety of community service activities at nonprofit and public facilities like food banks, senior centers, thrift stores and shelters. \nThey train an average of 18-20 hours a week and are paid the highest of federal, state or local minimum wage This short-term on-the-job training experience can then be used as a bridge to find employment opportunities outside of the program.
