Temporary housing locations intended to provide a safe and stable place for homeless individuals to live while they actively seek permanent housing. This includes shared areas/resources for showers, laundry, kitchen/cooking, internet access, bathroom/porta-potty, and basic furnishings.

Temporary housing program for young adults ages 18 to 24. Provides four beds at each location (Bellingham and Mt. Vernon) where young adults can stay for up to 90 days. Note: HUSLY is accessed through a main application process and is NOT first come, first served.

In partnership with area schools, this service provides summer school programs for Migrant and Latine youth that combine bilingual academic instruction with outdoor experiences. These summer programs allow Vamos to help families that move temporarily to the area to work in agriculture by providing a space for their children to engage in meaningful activities and enjoy their temporary home while their parents are at work. Children are enrolled based on where they live and what school they attend, with priority given to participants that are multilingual and whose dominant language is Spanish.

YWCA Bellingham offers a variety of different housing programs for women experiencing homelessness: Emergency Shelter, Senior Housing (specifically for women ages 55+), Supported Rental Housing, and a family shelter for women with children. 24-hour services include picking up stray, injured, aggressive, dangerous and dead animals; transportation and impoundment of stray animals to the shelter for impound, or in cases of emergency, to a veterinarian for medical treatment; and more. If you are aware of an animal being abused or neglected, please call the Animal Control Office.

The Red Cross assists military families in communicating with loved ones in an emergency, deployment assistance, and emergency financial assistance.

Provides safe, confidential shelter to individuals and families fleeing domestic violence. Clients have access to basic food, clothing, personal items, and bedding if needed. Advocates are available to conduct intakes and provide advocacy twenty-four hours a day. Shelter is available for all survivors.
