Peer-to-Peer Class - NAMI of Whatcom County

This free class is an experiential learning program for people experiencing a mental health challenge who are interested in establishing and maintaining their wellness and recovery. Peer-to-Peer consists of eight two-hour units and is taught by a team of two trained teachers and a volunteer support person, all of whom are personally experienced at living well with mental illness.

Holiday Magic - Treehouse

Provides children and youth in foster care in Washington state with a meaningful holiday gift. Referrals are made by DCYF and Tribal Courts, then emails and letters are sent to all eligible kids and their caregivers. Once referred, register online before the registration deadline.

Crisis Triage and Stabilization - Whatcom County Triage Center

The Whatcom County Triage Center (WCTC) in Bellingham can accommodate up to 16 individuals at once who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Services include crisis stabilization, safety planning, and referrals for ongoing care. Individuals may self-refer or be referred by a community partner such as a behavioral health provider, hospital social worker, or medical provider. The facility can also accept drop-offs from law enforcement and emergency medical technicians as a diversion alternative to jail or the emergency room.
