24-hour services include picking up stray, injured, aggressive, dangerous and dead animals; transportation and impoundment of stray animals to the shelter for impound, or in cases of emergency, to a veterinarian for medical treatment; and more. If you are aware of an animal being abused or neglected, please call the Animal Control Office.
Provides food and support to all community members in need. Individuals and families can visit once a week for as long as assistance is needed. Resources for baby supplies such as diapers and formula, and for pet food are available too.

1 in 3 pets will get lost in their lifetime, and this permanent form of identification could be your pet’s ticket home. WHS offers this lifesaving service for just $30.00. No appointment necessary.

Interactive adoption process strives to place animals into permanent, responsible and loving homes. Prior to meeting an animal, potential adopters are asked to complete an adoption application to better help WHS staff understand what you are looking for in a companion animal.
Pet food, including dog food and cat food, donated by the community for pet owners in need. Food can only be received once per month and is intended to be supplemental or for emergency.
As an open-admission humane society, WHS will accept any animal regardless of the animals age, breed, temperament, physical or medical condition.
License up to three pets using the online form.
Free veterinary wellness exams, vaccinations, parasiticides, microchips, and pet food/supplies for cats and dogs. Attending families are connected to information about additional resources (including spay/neuter services) available to communities that would otherwise find care inaccessible or unaffordable. \nVisit the website for upcoming clinic dates.
Hands-on programs focusing on K-12, such as classroom presentations, shelter tours and service projects. Classroom topics include: compassion and kindness towards animals, dog bite prevention and safety, spay/neuter education, animal cruelty and neglect, native wildlife safety, animal identification (i.e. dog licenses/cat id tags), and safety.
