At Alateen Meetings, younger members meet other Alateens with similar situations. Alateen is not a religious program and there are no fees or dues to belong to it. WA State certified Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment (DVIT) provider. Intimate partner violence is addressed through programs that are mandated by the court, but provide a safe and nurturing place to grow and learn. Advocacy counseling is available to clients who want to meet one-on-one with an advocacy counselor. Sessions are available on a walk-in or scheduled basis during business hours. These sessions are strength and empowerment-based and include emotional support, on-going safety planning, identifying coping skills, problem solving, information about the effects of domestic violence and sexual assault, and referrals to other community resources.
