Homecare workers do everything from housework (grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, etc.) to personal care (dressing, bathing, transferring, etc.). For all income levels, CCS brings affordable, personal care every day, sustaining those who are served with dignity in the home they cherish.

Provides wheelchair lending and leasing for people that may only need equipment for a short time or cannot afford it otherwise. Rent-to-own may be available in specialty cases.

Reduced cost for utilities provided by the city of Lynden, including water, sewage, and storm water. Available for low-income seniors.

The program provides lower income seniors with an EBT card for $80 to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs at approved farmers markets and farm stores throughout Washington State.

Reduced rates for utilities provided by Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District including water and sewer, available for low-income seniors and disabled adults exempt from Whatcom County property taxes.

Helps adults with challenging behaviors transition from a hospital to a long term care facility that meets their needs. This program is for adults with serious mental illness, dementia, mood disorder or other neurological disorders. Eligible adults also have challenging behaviors which are a barrier to hospital discharge OR their long term care facility placement is at risk due to challenging behaviors.

Assists individuals with serious and complex health care challenges to navigate large health care systems and find the resources they need to meet their health goals.

The YMCA offers a variety of reoccurring classes and programs to encourage healthy living, prevent chronic disease, and learn about managing ongoing health issues. Program topics and availability are variable and dependent on community interest, learn more online.

Meals are offered on a donation-only basis to adults age 60+ (suggested donation $5.00). Others will be charged the full cost of the meal ($8.50). Senior Center membership not required to participate in the meal program. Frozen to-go meals available Tuesdays, 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Delivers up to 7 nutritionally balanced meals per week to homebound seniors throughout Whatcom County. Meals are provided on a donation-only basis, no eligible senior is turned away due to inability to contribute. Eligible participants must be age 60 or older, homebound, and have difficulty shopping for/and or safely preparing nutritious meals.
