Child Find Screenings - Ferndale School District

Inclusive Preschool - Lynden School District

Serves children ages 3 through 5 who have a disability as well as students who do not have a disability (peer models). Students who qualify for Special Education services are enrolled and served as they turn 3 years of age. Children who do not qualify for Special Education services but who are ages 3 to 5 may apply to be enrolled.

Childcare and early learning programming available at the Laurel Forest Early Learning Center in downtown Bellingham for children between the ages 18 months and 5 years. This inclusive preschool childcare program serves all children, including those with disabilities, and can coordinate with school district services to support a child’s special education and healthcare needs. Childcare available from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm for working families.

Transitional Kindergarten - Ferndale School District

A free transitional kindergarten for students who are not in an early learning program and are scheduled to begin kindergarten the following school year. The district must prioritize families with the lowest incomes and children most in need of additional preparation to be successful in kindergarten. Students must be 4 years old prior to August 31 to be eligible for the current school year.
