Homebuyer Education Class - Washington State Housing Finance Commission

These multi-hour free classes cover the homebuying process from the very beginning to move-in. Upon completion participants earn a certificate from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. The certificate allows you to take advantage of special loan products and is a requirement for any of the WSHFC’s affordable loan products. Virtual and In-person classes available, check website for dates/times.

Mediation, conflict coaching, and phone conciliation services for community members facing housing-related conflict who wish to resolve disputes, improve communication, increase understanding, successfully negotiate payment or re-payment plans, discuss deposits and move out timelines, address lease agreements and other related issues, and move forward with creative solutions determined by the parties. Stable Home Mediation Program - Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center

The goal of foreclosure mediation is for homeowners to have an opportunity to discuss options as alternatives to foreclosure, to provide parties with the ability to review programs that could assist in continued payment of mortgages, to review documentation with their bank or lender, and as a last resort, to discuss opportunities and timelines for a “graceful exit” from their homes.
