A holiday gift assistance program for families living in the Blaine School District who are facing difficult financial circumstances. Gifts are arranged in a store-like setting where parents can purchase brand new, unwrapped toys marked down about 75%. Voucher assistance is available for families needing extra help.

A seasonal clothing bank for residents of Sumas and surrounding communities. Typically open September through March. Check Facebook for latest updates.
Annual drive and distribution of winter coats, hats, gloves, and socks for men, women, and children living in Blaine, Birch Bay, Custer, and Point Roberts. Distribution typically takes place in late Autumn.
Loans durable medical equipment to residents of Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Equipment loaned includes wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, and bedside and bathroom helpers of all kinds.
Basic Needs provided free of charge to those in need in our community. Resources include clothing, household goods, toiletries, period supplies, cleaning supplies, diapers, emergency food, and more. Limited financial assistance available Mondays and Fridays.

Provides free clothing and household linens to residents of Blaine, Birch Bay, and Custer. Limited hygiene supplies may also be available.
Provides funds to families in need to help cover costs associated with medical bills, therapies and numerous other aspects of supporting a child or young adult on the autism spectrum. Applicants can request a yearly grant up to $1,000 to help cover the costs to get the care, support and items needed.

Holiday assistance programs that provide lower-income families in our community with an opportunity to receive gifts, have gifts for their children, and funds to purchase food for a Christmas dinner celebration.
Low-income households or seniors who live in Ferndale or North Whatcom County can select free hygiene products, including menstrual supplies, baby diapers, wipes, and more. Available monthly.
Sends an age-appropriate book each month to all registered children in Whatcom County. All Whatcom County children aged zero to five are eligible for this free program.
A nonprofit that accepts new and gently used items, such as furniture, appliances, construction supplies, hardware and more. All proceeds go toward building safe, affordable housing in Whatcom County. Free donation pickup available.
Provides gently used clothing, furniture, and household items priced as low as possible. Bring a grocery bag and fill it with clothes and shoes for $5.
Assists families with resources, information and problem solving to help their children succeed in school. Proceeds from purchases at the WHS Thrift Shop benefit daily operations and care for the domestic, wild and farm animals in our shelters.
A day-use center for at-risk, runaway and homeless youth ages 24 and under. Youth can connect with supportive adults, receive basic needs items such as food, clothing and gear for sleeping outside, and connect with other resources that will help them end their experience of homelessness.

Provides one sleeve of diapers and one pack of wipes per visit to families in Whatcom County. To be eligible, a family must have children ages 0-5 yrs old, household income must be 60% AMI or less, and the family must not have other resources to cover the cost of items.
