As part of the larger PREPARES program, St. Joseph Catholic Church organizes a regular drop-in event to provide diapers, wipes, and other family supplies. All are welcome to receive support and attendees can sign up for more support through PREPARES state program.

Low-income households or seniors who live in Ferndale or North Whatcom County can select free hygiene products, including menstrual supplies, baby diapers, wipes, and more. Available monthly.

Helps students and families connect with school and community resources.

A day-use center for at-risk, runaway and homeless youth ages 24 and under. Youth can connect with supportive adults, receive basic needs items such as food, clothing and gear for sleeping outside, and connect with other resources that will help them end their experience of homelessness.

Services provided onsite include clothing and household items, hygiene supplies, transportation assistance, shower and laundry referrals, help with City of Ferndale water and sewer bills, computer and phone use, housing and job search, community resource navigation and referrals, and more.

Provides funds to families in need to help cover costs associated with medical bills, therapies and numerous other aspects of supporting a child or young adult on the autism spectrum. Applicants can request a yearly grant up to $1,000 to help cover the costs to get the care, support and items needed.

Provides one sleeve of diapers and one pack of wipes per visit to families in Whatcom County. To be eligible, a family must have children ages 0-5 yrs old, household income must be 60% AMI or less, and the family must not have other resources to cover the cost of items.

Provides general information and resources for the East Whatcom County community. Resources include computer and phone access, notary, period and hygiene supplies, clothes, books, toys, household items, specialized intake support such as SNAP benefits, and more. The Holiday Giving Store is set up just like a store, but gifts are free to families that qualify. The store is stocked with a variety of gifts and toys, and warm clothing like pajamas and sweatshirts are available for parents or guardians to choose for each child.
