Supported Living - Cascade Connections Main Office

Supports adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes and to thrive in their communities. Supports may include, but are not limited to personal care, financial support, budgeting, bill paying, cooking and cleaning, support making and attending medical appointments, positive behavior supports, and community integration.

Crisis Triage and Stabilization - Whatcom County Triage Center

The Whatcom County Triage Center (WCTC) in Bellingham can accommodate up to 16 individuals at once who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Services include crisis stabilization, safety planning, and referrals for ongoing care. Individuals may self-refer or be referred by a community partner such as a behavioral health provider, hospital social worker, or medical provider. The facility can also accept drop-offs from law enforcement and emergency medical technicians as a diversion alternative to jail or the emergency room.

English Language Acquisition - Bellingham Technical College

ELA classes are for students who need to improve their English skills to enroll in college, or succeed in the workplace or American culture. Classes are offered at Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, as well as class options in the evening. Placement testing is required.

Family-to-Family Class - NAMI of Whatcom County

The free 8-session, 4 week course is taught by trained family members and is for families, partners and friends of individuals with mental illnesses. Digital Skills Classes - Goodwill Job Training and Education Center

Free introductory courses for people who have no computer experience or who need a little extra training. Learn the basics of how to operate a computer, including typing (keyboarding), internet and email. Later, take classes in Microsoft Word and Excel to learn to create simple spreadsheets and documents like a resume. Online job search classes and special computer classes for non-native English speakers also offered.

Base Camp - Lighthouse Mission Ministries

24/7 overnight shelter and day center including men and women dorms, medical respite, and a family shelter. Pets welcome. Nightly check-in begins at 7pm. Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program - Charlie Health

Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a structured behavioral healthcare that offers a personalized combination of support groups, counseling, family therapy, and individualized therapy. Virtual IOP is meant to address issues such as anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, dissociative disorders, gender identity & dysphoria, mood disorders, personality disorders, self harm, substance use, and other trauma. Clubhouse Members - Whatcom Clubhouse

Whatcom Clubhouse is a nonclinical social rehabilitation approach to address mental illness and is considered a ‘Peer Run and Support Program’. Any adult Whatcom County resident with a mental health diagnosis can apply for a free membership, which allows participating in structured, social daily activities at the Clubhouse location.

Community Engagement Service - Max Higbee Center

Max Higbee Center members are paired with a Community Engagement provider to receive one-on-one support to introduce community resources and create lasting relationships, develop goals and strategies, and learn skills that will facilitate integration into the community. HUSLY Temporary Shelter - Northwest Youth Services

Temporary housing program for young adults ages 18 to 24. Provides four beds at each location (Bellingham and Mt. Vernon) where young adults can stay for up to 90 days. Note: HUSLY is accessed through a main application process and is NOT first come, first served.
