This program is for anyone who might have a tendency to wander, but who might not have the ability to find their way home again including people with dementia, autism, Down's syndrome, and traumatic brain injuries.

Aged, Blind, or Disabled Program - Bellingham Community Services Office (DSHS)

Health care coverage, cash assistance, and case management for individuals age 65 and over, blind or disabled and who meet income and resource requirements. Cash assistance and a referral to the Housing and Essential Needs program available to eligible individuals who are determined likely to meet Supplemental Security Income disability criteria based on an impairment(s) expected to last at least 12 consecutive months. This program provides maximum monthly cash grant of $450 for a single individual or $570 for a married couple.

Teen Court - Northwest Youth Services Administrative Offices

A youth-led diversion service focusing on healing and accountability through Restorative Justice. Teen Court serves 12-17 year olds in partnership with Whatcom County Superior Court and several high schools throughout Whatcom County. Student volunteers act as judges, jurors and attorneys (referred to as advocates), to both learn how a courtroom setting works and to offer an alternative to the standard criminal justice system.
